Curriculum Vitae
| 1975 | M.Sc. degree in engineering physics from Lund University |
| 1980 | Ph.D. degree |
| 1980-1986 | Positions at ASEA, now ABB, in Ludvika, Sweden, where he worked with power system simulation, control and design, in particular with High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) applications |
| 1986-2000 | Professor in Electric Power Systems at Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm. At KTH he was the head of the power systems group. Main research topics were power systems dynamics and stability, e.g. voltage stability and angular stability, and power electronics in power systems. |
| since April 2000 | Full Professor of the Power Systems Group at ETH. |
| Göran Andersson is Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (KVA), and member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA). |
